Village Squire, 1979-07, Page 8replaced by one on ancient Egypt. In October. the Street Where
You Live exhibition will be replaced by a Haunted House for
Hallowe'en.
The museum is run by a non-profit organization. There is a
donation box at the entrance with a fee of 25 cents suggested for
children but children arriving on their own have never been
turned away for lack of 25 cents. A staff of one full time and a
half-time person is hired to run the museum and supplemented
volunteer labour. The exhibitions are either made or borrowed
from other museums.
The museum is open from 9 to 5. Monday through Saturday. It
can provide a couple of hours fun and education for an inquisitive
child and parent. Those who like to be entertained rather than
entertain themselves, will want to leave in less time than that.
Children can see how archeologists uiscover dinosaur bones at
the London Children's Museum.
