Someday she hopes to have a sign out front telling the history of
the building.
The renovations included turning the front porch into
showroom windows and reducing the number of rooms
downstairs from four to two, one out front for the shop and the
other at the rear for the tearoom. The original floors were
retained for the tearoom although the floors in the shop had to be
covered with carpet.
For Clarice Jackson the tearoom which is her part of the
operation is a realization of something she often thought of doing
when she still lived in Yorkshire. England. Then she at times
thought how nice it would be to have a tearoom in somewhere
