Photographer Douglas Spillane of 311 Ontario St.
Stratford won 2 of the 6 print competitions at the
annual Ontario -New York International Convention
held in St. Catherines. Mr. Spillane won the Wedding
competition and the Animal• Portrait Division .
The convention is held annually alternating locations
between the States and Canada.
Doug Spillane is one of only a very few photographers
in Canada to have the combined degrees of CPA
Craftsman Photographic Arts and Master
Photogroghic Arts.
He has a portrait studio at 311 Ontario St.
Douglas Spillane is noted in his profession for his
innovative techniques. He hos evolved a method of
making colour portraits on canvas that allows complete
control and retouching. This method also gives
incredible richness and permanency. He has also
pioneered a method of shadowless group portraiture.
