Pioneer Village
offers opportunity
to look into
pioneer life
Our history is fast fading from the
countryside. Every year a few more
remnants of our past lifestyle fall victim to
age, neglect, fire or vandalism and it
becomes just that much harder to imagine
our past.
Historians were among the first to
recognize this fact and began to do
something about it. Back in 1956 the Upper
Thames River Conservation Authority and
the Museum of Pioneer Life at the
University of Western Ontario
decided that something must
