When you have people doing a show on the
side while performing other fulltime jobs,
you can't operate the same way.
Mornings start early for the crew of
Morning Break. They're in the office by 8
a.m. to start planning the day's show. For
Swan the day begins even earlier as he
rises to drive the 70 miles to London but he
says it actually means he can sleep in a
half-hour later than he used to be able to
with his radio show. The staff meets in his
office and goes over the details of the
show, the background of the guests for the
show and all the little things that will need
to be well remembered when the show
goes before the cameras.
They break this particular morning about
9 a.m. and go upstairs to the conference
room for a coffee and to meet one of the
day's guests. Swan and Campbell go over
details of the interview with the guest. in
this case it's Dave Dunn, Director of
Medical Photography at Victoria Hospital,
London who has been experimenting with
photographing people's auras, the electro-
magnetic field around each person.
They've met the guest before when he took
photographs in his dark room of their auras
to be used on the show.
The discussion lets everybody relax and
get acquainted as well as imparting
information and later on camera, the guest
performs like an old pro.
By 9:30 the crew is assembled at the
