can get in the older, more established shops.
She says that her shop is not really a specialty shop, that in
a small town you can't specialize too much. She carries, for
instance, clothes through the junior and misses size ranges.
Though she finds it hard to express in words just what
image she wants for her shop, she is obviously succeeding in
getting her message across to the customers. She's had
customers from as far away as London and regular customers
from Lucan to Seaforth and Clinton areas, as well as
Goderich. She's been very happy with her first year, she says,
though she's got no past sales volumes to compare it with.
And, she says, the big blizzard hasn't exactly helped sales
since Christmas. She didn't even make it to work for a whole
week during the worst of the storm.
She found the agencies helpful in getting her started she
says. She'd visit one and they would make suggestions of
other places she should visit. Despite the fact there are two
major clothing shows a year, they are really just for wrapping
up loose ends, Rosemary says. Most of the buying is done
