Village Squire, 1976-09, Page 33the service courteous and relaxed.
The building itself offers a good place to
see a cabaret show. The stage nestles
beneath the facade of the old pipe organ. The
high ceilings mean there's an airy feeling as
in a real theatre, without the dusky,
smoke-filled room atmosphere of many
nightspots.
In all, the Church's venture into cabaret
was a good one and it's understood the
results have been good from an attendance
side too. By the way, the meal and show price
is $14.50 per person so if you figure on having
a drink or some wine and paying the tax and
leaving a tip, figure on at least $40 for a
couple. It sounds steep but compared to
having dinner then going over to the Festival
for a show, it isn't too bad.
