The pencil drawing is one of a number of drawings of hands Londesboro-area artist Jo Manning did for a recent commission for the Canadian Catholic Conference. You can learn more about the hands, the commission and Jo herself in this month's issue. The old'halls that once were the centre of life in the community , are still there, but they're strangers now to many.. Some have fallen into disrepair, Some have been restored. This month we look at two more: the town halls in Lucknow and Wingham. And with fall just about here, those of us with the back -to -the -land syndrome are busy gathering the produce of our garden after a long hard summer. But the work seems just to have begun and Sandra Orr tells all the problems she runs into in her harvesting operation.
