Village Squire, 1976-01, Page 21OUR APOLOGIES This is the first issue of _Village.' quire since the mail strike ended and the first issue unaffected / y mail delivery. Our apologies to readers who 'Hay u(11,' receiving their November or 1)ecciiii)ci- of Village Squire. Our staff made a tremendous effort to try to heat the strike. Copies were delivered to those post offices which were open, driving hundreds utiles. 1)e7,ots were set up in some places without mail deliver}' so that subscribers could pick up copies in Stratford, Clinton and Wingham. These depots hoii'('i•er, actually slowed down the process of delivery for who didn't pick up their copies because t, tey had to be all picked up from the depots by our staff again after the strike and re►nailed. In some cases this took longer than i{'c' would have liked because of the Christmas rush, January storms and of zer problems.' Our thanks to our readers Pr their patience.
