Village Squire, 1976-01, Page 2"THE CHEESE HOUSE" suggests a winter taste -treat Quiche Lorraine A Cheese Meal --Quiche Lorraine Ingredients: - a plain pastry dough - 4 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled - 1 cup onions sliced thinly - 11/2 cups J arlsberg - grated - 4 eggs - 2 cups light cream - 1/2 teaspoon each of ground nutmeg and ground white pepper Line a pie plate with pastry and bake'for 5 minutes. Saute the onions in bacon fat. Put the onions, crumbled bacon and grated cheese in the pie shell, combine the eggs, cream and seasonings and pour over the top. Bake 450°F. for 10 minutes, then 350°F. 15-20 minutes. Serve with dry White Wine. Make your selection of cheese, and have cooked meats at the Cheese House.
