are so all fired clever, all run to brains. Some critters can out
smart us even so. Makes you think."
Jimmy thought. When he went back to the city he thought
about it. He planned how next summer he would go back to the
farm and he would know so much more. He would know how to
find the animals and how to watch them.
And he would look for the secret things, the things that were in
the old house and all about in the places outside the house. The
things one felt but couldn't name. They had always been there.
They were waiting there for those who knew how to look.
