Village Squire, 1975-10, Page 24wasn't surprising that the dessert menu was a little depleted by the time we came to order. The lady's first and second choice, cheesecake and strawberry shortcake were both unavailable. She chose peach melba and found it quite good. The gentleman got his first choice Black Forest Torte which looked disgustingly fattening but wasn't really as rich as it appeared. It was a nice finishing touch to the meal. Prices are quite reasonable for the fare offered with the bill totalling $15.45 including tax but without tip. This did not include anything to drink from the bar which would quickly have increased that bill. In all, it's hard to know how to rate the Windsor. With few exceptions to food is quite good. The service to the most part 'was friendly and fast and the decor is comfortable. It's just those little things that let the whole thing down. Perhaps another night things might be better.
