All the publications are different but they
all have a similarity in that all are extremely
handsome. The paper on which the books are
printed is the best. The covers are thick and
rich with colour. That art work is superb. In
all there are few publications anywhere in
Canada that are more impressive.
The slick look of the publications can be
attributed in a good part to the work of
another Hensall oddity Wright -Grant Ltd. a
graphic arts company that occupies the big
brick house just opposite the headquarters of
Agri -book. Howie Wright of Hensall and Rob
Grant of Exeter look after this company that's
growing step by step with Agri -book.
The company started when the Bayleys
persuaded Howie to leave a printing company
he was with and set up business for himself to
handle their art work. As Agri -book grew so
did Wright -Grant but the attention to fine
detail and the determination to go first class
stayed the same. Recently the company hired
a Husband wife team of artists from Toronto
where they had been involved in one of the
advertising agencies. The staff is hardwork-
ing and dedicated. The night before we
toured the office they had been up to the wee
hours of the morning putting together the
program for the International Plowing Match.
Agri -book has also been growing rapidly.
There's a Toronto sales office with seven
people under Adrian's direction as well as the
11 people who now work at the Hensall office.
A Calgary office will be opened at the end of
the year. Adrian is in charge of the sales force
while J ulian looks after the books themselves.
