This month
Nearly all the giant publishing firms in Canada are located in
the cities, especially in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
Agri -book may not yet be a giant, but it's growing at a
tremendous rate and proving that the best quality productions
can be published from a small town. The story of this bustling
small-town firm is told in this month's issue.
Retirement can be beautiful and creatively challenging. If you
don't think so, ask Benmiller's Jack McLaren who calls the 12
years since he and his wife moved to the scenic village "the
happiest years of our lives".
Ron Shaw, a former Goderich resident now living in Africa
contributes a short story to this month's issue. Ron Rudd tells
how the lowly bean can be a gourmet's delight. Our reviewer
visits Stratford's Windsor Hotel. And there are many other
features large and small.
Help us fight inflation
We're trying to fight inflation by holding our subscription
prices down, but we need your help. Sending out notices telling
people their subscriptions are due costs a lot of money. By
checking your label and sending in your renewals promptly you
can save us, and yourself money. If your label bears a month from
January to October and the last number in the row of figures
following the month is a 5, your subscription is now due. By
co-operating with us we can help keep our costs down and keep
from raising subscription prices. Thanks in advance for your
help.
