The city's child
she never asks,
the route
by which you've come.
She assumes some tale
alike her own,
And repitition
serves no gain.
Her world is in a concrete tomb.

Spun by travellers
from the sea,
Good for not -
but passing time.
She saw
a picture book one day,
But it seems
so long ago,
Of trees on hills
above the gorge,
Where a free
wild river flowed.
What are trees
and torrent streams?
Grassland
or burning sand?.
To one
who hardly sees the sky,
Through smoke
where towers stand.
Your stories have
no meaning here,
There is
no common ground.
Your frontier is
so far away,
You can't
turn her head around.

Just seems to come in spasms.
Verses, to me, are high plateaus
Surrounded by deep chasms.
When we're concerned with earthly needs

And worry over lusts and greeds.
We're living in a hollow.
But anyone embroiled in life.
Be his state good or worse,
Can rise above the noise arid strife
