THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN:
There's been no series of movies in the past
decade that has had the staying power of the
James Bond series. Even with Roger Moore
replacing Sean Connery, the movie still has
big drawing power because technical gimics,
and smooth humour with a little sex thrown in
for good measure are still the stars of the
movie. At the Lyceum, until April 8.
THE ODDESSA FILE:
Jon Voight and Maxmillian Schell star in this
thriller. At the Lyceum, April 9-12.
TAKING ON PELHAM ONE TWO THREE
and S.P.Y.S.:
One generally associates Walter Mathau with
comedy but not in Taking of Pelham etc. Here
he's in a story about the takeover of the New
York subway system. In S.P.Y.S., Donald
Sutherland and Elliott Gould try to pick up on
the comedy they forged in M.A.S.H. The
double bill is at the Lyceum, Wingham, from
April 13-15.
FOR PETE'S SAKE:
Barbara Striesand and Michael Sarrazan star
in a wild comedy at the Lyceum, April 16-19.
