This month
Being a Member of Parliament isn't a particularly easy job,
particularly when you represent a sprawling rural riding and even
more so when you're a member of the Opposition. The three
members representing this area stand alone fighting the
attempts of the Big Blue Machine to continue its centralizing
policies and thus inspired the cover illustration by J im Marlatt,
Goderich artists. We have an interview with them in this issue.
A Mitchell native has been touring the province with a difficult
show, a one-man effort about life in an isolated Labrador town.
His story is enclosed.
Next month
For the first time next month, a Targe part of one issue will be
devoted on one theme: Food. We'II be taking a look at food from
the stores where it's sold to your own kitchen to the fancy
restaurants.
