business of family entertainment is still a
Florida trademark, and this season's visitor
will find new and expanded entertainment
complexes to fill a vacation itinerary.
Here is 'a rundown by area.
CENTRAL FLORIDA
Sea World of Florida, near Orlando,
opened with a splash in mid -1974. The S20
million attraction has two 3,000 -seat,
air-conditigned stadiums for live marine
animal shows.
Another Orlando neighbour, Circus World,
also began operation in its Preview Centre
this year. The centre, in a structure
resembling a striped circus tent, includes
displays of historic circus trappings and
memorabilia, and has elephant Performances
in the backyard arena.
Southwest of Orlando, Six Flags, Inc. is
well into construction of its movieland
attraction, the Stars Hall of Fame. Scheduled
scompletion date is June.
Audio-visual and animation techniques will
be used to recapture the excitement of great
movie and television performances, and the
complex will include more than 90 stage sets
and 200 figures of stars in their most famous
roles.
Meanwhile, expansion is in store for other
Central Florida attractions. Disney World has
added Treasure Island, a tropical isle
featuring exotic birds and wildlife in a natural
setting, while Pioneer Hall at the Fort
Wilderness Campgrounds is a dining area
providing dinner shows with an Old West
theme. Scheduled for a mid-January opening
was Space Mountain, where visitors will

board "space capsules" for Disney's version
of a voyage through space, complete with
twinkling galaxies.
There are also a growing number of
facilities in a variety of other locales.
Within Orlando itself, the newly -opened
Florida Pavilion tourist information centre
will be staffed by multilingual hostesses who
will give information on attractions through-
out the state.
Masterpiece Gardens in Lake Wales has
added multilingual taped presentations
explaining the "Last Supper" mosaic, the
attraction's focal point. Future plans call for
Spanish, French, German and Italian
narratives for the gardens exotic bird and
duck shows.
Nearby Crypress dirdens, the dapper
granddad of Florida attractions, has added a
new section called Gardens of the World.
Now open are the Italian, American, Dutch,
Mediterranean and English gardens, with
additional attractions on the drawing board
EAST COAST
On Florida's eastern coast, the entertain-
ment centres stretch from St. Augustine to
