reopening for the summer season on March
30. It specializes in European food cooked by
Europeans. It's open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

THE_LITTLE INN
Bayfield's Little Inn has been a meeting place
for those who like good food for many years.
It's open for lunch daily from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
and for dinner from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday
brunch is from 10:30 to 1 p.m. $$$
COMMODORE
Chinese and Canadian Food are featured at
the Commodore in Stratford. It's licensed.
Open 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through
Thursday, until 2 a.m. on Friday and
Saturday until 9:30 on Sunday nights.
THE BEDFORD HOTEL
For very special events, The Bedford in
Goderich has always been a place to go for a
celebration. Our reviewer found its food a
delight and the atmosphere to match. The
dining room is open for luncheons from noon
to 1:30 p.m. on Monday through Saturday
with smorgasbord on Tuesday noon. Through
the week dinner is served from 6-7:30 p.m.
with a special smorgasbord on Wednesday
evening. Friday and Saturday dinner hour is
from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday the smorgasbord
's from 5-7 p.m. The dining room is licensed.

ACROPOL
If you like Greek food, the Acropol is the place
in Stratford on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
There are also steaks, chops, chicken and
spaghetti. It's open 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. except
Sundays when it's 7-12. $$$
WINDSOR HOTEL
Stratford's Windsor Hotel offers everything
from lobster to frogs' legs to roast beef. The
air-conditioned diningroom is open for
breakfast, lunch, dinner and after -theatre
snacks, seven days a week. There is also
entertainment, and a wide selection of wines

LIMELIGHT RESTAURANT AND TAVERN
Located directly across from Stratford's old
city hall, this steakhouse offers steaks, chops,
chicken and spareribs, with wide menu
selection. Licensed. $$$
THE MILL
The old Woolen Mill at Benmiller near
Goderich has been converted by London's
Ivey family into an exclusive country inn.
You'll enjoy dinner there as the old building
has been made into a very special place to

One of Stratford's most gracious dining spots,
the Queen's offers excellent food in the
diningroom which is open for dinner from 5-7
p.m. There is also a luncheon from 12-1:30.

BARTLIFF'S RESTAURANT
You're almost sure to have a desert in
Bartliff's in Clinton since you can see fresh
baked goods and smell them being baked in
the bakery. Open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. $$$
BAYVIEW TOURIST INN
There is a beautiful view of Lake Huron from
this dining room on Highway 21 south of
Zurich and home cooked meals are another
attraction. $S$
WING'S RESTAURANT
Unadorned atmosphere but good Chinese
food at relatively low prices...that's what this
Mitchell restaurant offers. Open 11 a.m. to 9
p.m. daily except Wednesdays. Open until 2
a.m. Saturdays. $$
THE ALBION HOTEL
The old Albion Hotel in Bayfield takes you
back to another age, not the artificial aging
some dining places offer with stucco walls
and stained wood, but the real thing. The
120 -year-old hotel offers a quiet, homey
dining room and is open daily from 5:30 to
7:30 p.m. for dinner and on Sunday from 5-7.

DIANA SWEETS
On the main street in Listowel is a longtime
favourite for many. It is opened from 7 to 10
on weekdays and 9-10 on Sundays. $$$
GALLANT'S MOULIN ROUGE TAVERN
This Grand Bend spot features home cooked
meals. The management boasts dining in
luxurious surroundings. The hours are 12 to 1
a.m. on weekdays, 10 to 1 a.m. on Saturdays
and 10 to 10 p.m. on Sundays. Licensed. $$$
THE BLUE BARN
The reputation of this Listowel restaurant can
lead to disappointment. Good food and
reasonable prices but don't expect to be
thrilled by the atmosphere which is good but
not special. $$$
THE GALLEY
The dining room of the Queen's Hotel,
Seatorth puts the emphasis on meats from
steaks to chops to roasts. It is open from noon
to two and gain from 5-8 p.m. On Saturdays,
the hours are noon to 1 a.m. and on Sundays
it's 2-8 p.m. Licensed. $$$
CLINTON HOTEL
The dining lounge in the Clinton Hotel offers
you food whether it's for dinner, lunch or
breakfast. It is open from 7-9 a.m., 11:30 to
1:30 p.m. and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. It is also open
on Sundays from 4 to 8 p.m. Licensed. SS$
BLYTH INN HOTEL
Canadian home -style cooking is the specialty
at the Blyth Inn's diningroom. It's open from
10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with businessmen's
luncheon specials and special rates for
