Village Squire, 1974-06, Page 69SUNLIGHT'S RECOLLECTIONS
Waking too early.
Circumstantial witness to dawn....
...drifting in shafts through curtains of lace,
as sun through the dew -wet spider's web.
Head pounding on the final glass of wine,
memory grasping to recall,
the Sun ever going down.
Through damp eyes,
sunlight playiing through leaves outside
on a freckled cheek.
Like spotlights sweeping the stage,
in search of the evening's star.
:Oh ... foggy recollection.
,Silently.
Slipping away, to my desk.
'T6 dr.eam, to write.
in la.nticipation of another night.
