Smokey Dunn Show, J une 28 to July 1 Art GREEN GALLERY, features the work of Goderich artist J im Marlatt and is located on Patrick Street in Goderich. Mr. Marlatt was featured last year in an article in the Village Squire and is well-known for his sketches that are on sale at many places in the Huron -Perth area. ROTHMAN'S GALLERY: J une 4 sees the opening of an unusual exhibit of art from Australia. The 180 pieces in the exhibit are all by the aboriginies of the dbwn-under country. The exhibit, called Art of Aboriginal Australia will remain at the gallery until Sept. 2, then travel across Canada. HEIM GALLERY: Guenther Heim's small gallery near Wingham offers a new exhibit of paintings by Ontario Artists which opened May 13. Though paintings at the gallery are all on sale, visitors not interested in buying are welcome to come and browse. Open daily. Travel one mile north of Wingham on Highway 4 and watch for the signs. Specials Ontario Pork Congress at the Stratford Fair Grounds+. It offers a chance for the housewife as well as the farmer to learn more about the pork industry. There will be a daily fashion show featuring fashions from County Sheepskin in Stratford. June 19 to 21. FESTIVAL SINGERS: The Festival .Singers under Elmer Iseler will begin the series lune 29 with selections including Kyrie and Gloria, De Profundis, Credo, Friede auf Erden, Sanctus, Pater Noster, Agnus Dei, and Motet No. 1, (Singet dem Herrn). CANADIAN BRASS: The Brass presents a suite of early music for brass on July 6 with the Overture by Fux, Fantasia by Simms, Aria by Fux, Revecy Venir du Printemps, by LeJeune, Madrigal by Ockeover, Brass Quintet I (1972) by Eaton, Fugue in G Minor by Bach, Music for Brass instruments (1944) by Dahl and the premiere of a work commissioned by the Brass by Rathburn. SUNDAY CONCERTS: The new Lions Band Shell in Goderich will be the scene of Sunday night band concerts throughout the summer beginning June 30 with a concert by the Goderich Laketown Band. July 7 will see a concert by the Clinton Legion Pipe Band along with the Mary Lynne Telford Highland Dancers. OLDTIME FIDDLER'S CONTEST: The fourth annual Hensall old time fiddlers contest will be held at the Hensall community centre June 14 and 15, at 7 p.m. with $2600 in cash prizes.
