Dr. Victor Johnston, a local doctor who went
on to head the Ontario Medical Association
and the College of General Practice and who
authored Before The Age of Miracles which
dealt with the difficulty of being a family
physician before the invention of today's
wonder drugs; like Murray Murdock, the
one-time iron man of hockey and Ii)ce Paul
Henderson, the star of the Team Canada
series over Russia. These people are to the
residents of the village, as much a part of
Lucknow as if they still lived next door.
And on June 28 to July 1, they probably will
be next door again renewing aquaintances
and recalling fond memories, and once again,
helping to contribute to that community
spirit. -
The reunion will open Friday night with a
stage show at the public school called
"Everybody's Crazy" followed by a beauty

and every night of the weekend but Sunday at
the arena.
Saturday will see a back to school at the
public school in the morning then a giant
parade beginning at noon. There will be a full
afternoon of events such as square dancing,
and band entertainment, and a beer garden.
There will be a teen dance in addition to the
regular dance and it will be at the public
school.
Sunday will see the old Scots blood come
out with Scottish folk dancing at the
Caledonian Park and many other games and a
beef barbecue. There will be a variety show
featuring the Mercy Brothers, Billy Meek and
others from the Pig and Whistle Show in the
evening.
Monday will see a tractor pull and a beef
barbecue and in the evening a farewell dance.
