AMERICAN GRAFFITI: Where were You in
'62? One of the biggest box office smashes of
the past year (it drew 9000 patrons in
Goderich's Park theatre in 10 days) is at the
Lyceum, Wingham from May 22 to 28. It was
earlier scheduled at the same theatre for May
1 but postponed.. It deals with one critical
night in the the growth of a group of
teenagers toward adulthood. The same movie
will be at the Capitol, Listowel May 29 to J une
4.
1HE SEVEN-UPS: From the same producer
'who coughed up The French Connection and
Bullitt, starring Roy Scheider and directed by
Philip D'Antoni. At the Lyceum May 29 to
June 1.
SAVE THE TIGER: Jack Lemon starred in
this movie about the destruction of a
money -hungry businessman who would do
anything to stay in business, including pimp
and commit arson. It's on a double bill with
Paper Moon, the movie that won young
Tatum O'Neal an Academy Award. She
shares the screen with papa Ryan O'Neal. At
the Capitol May 26 to 28 and the Lyceum,
June 3-5.
THE EFFECTS OF GAMMA RAYS ON MAN
IN THE MOON MARIGOLDS: Paul Newman
directs his wife Joan Woodward in this classic
play now put on the screen about a mother

Lyceum, J une 9-11.
MAGNUM FORCE: Another Clint Eastwood
movie so those who love tough violence can
line up. At the Capitol, June 9-15.
LAST TANGO IN PARIS: Take your choice.
This movie is either a masterpiece, or
disgusting filth. Marlon Brando followed up
this hit in The Godfather with just about as
big a hit in Last Tango. It's at the Lyceum
from J une 12-15.

The Benjamins, a popular rock group from

Art
ROTHMAN'S GALLERY: June 4 sees the
opening of an unusual exhibit of art from
Australia. The 180 pieces in the exhibit are all
by the aboriginies of the down -under country.
The exhibit, called Art of Aboriginal Australia
will remain at the gallery until Sept. 2, then
travel across Canada.
HEIM GALLERY: Guenther Heim's small
gallery near Wingham offers a new exhibit of
paintings by Ontario Artists which opened
May 13. Though paintings at the gallery are
all on sale, visitors not interested in buying
are welcome to come and browse. Open daily.
Travel one mile north of Wingham on
Highway 4 and watch for the signs.
GREEN GALLERY, features the work of
Goderich artist J im Marlatt and is located on
Patrick Street in Goderich. Mr. Marlatt was
featured last year in an article in the Village
Squire and is well-known for his sketches that
are on sale at many places in the Huron -Perth
area.

STRATFORD:
It's Festival time again with the opening of
the 1974 season on J une 3 with the premiere
of Moliere's The Imaginary Invalid, restaged
from the Australian tour where it won high
