"My little elves, I'm afraid 1 can't go with you Christrnas night. You'll have to get someone else to do this hard job." " There was a knock at the door. "Just the person I want to see," said Santa. "Scrooge, you.can take the place of me." "But, I'm very busy," yelled Scrooge. "There's a big present in there for you," said Santa. "In that case, yes I will," said Scrooge. So everyone was happy and they all lived happily ever after. Jill Sellars Uncle Scrooge's Robbery It was December 1, so uncle Scrooge went out to his money bin so he could get some money for Christmas gifts. When he got inside the money bin, the money was gone! Uncle Scrooge alinost did 5,000 flips. He • ran back home and collected every detective in his town. Uncle Scrooge said to them how much ' money was in the bin and all of the details. Oh yes, there were fifty detectives. They got right on the case. The blocked off all of the roads but found nothing, But, they kept the roads closed up and sent twenty-five of the detectives in to search every millimetre of the town. • In the last house they looked over, they found the money.
