Scrooge is a real swell guy
Santa Claus
Once upon.a time far far away lives a jol-
ly fellow named Santa. He was very sick in
bed as Christmas was corning soon.
"My little elves, I'm afraid 1 can't go
with you Christrnas night. You'll have to
get someone else to do this hard job." "
There was a knock at the door.
"Just the person I want to see," said
Santa. "Scrooge, you.can take the place of
me."
"But, I'm very busy," yelled Scrooge.
"There's a big present in there for you,"
said Santa.
"In that case, yes I will," said Scrooge.
So everyone was happy and they all lived
happily ever after.

Uncle Scrooge's Robbery
It was December 1, so uncle Scrooge
went out to his money bin so he could get
some money for Christmas gifts. When he
got inside the money bin, the money was
gone! Uncle Scrooge alinost did 5,000 flips.
He • ran back home and collected every
detective in his town.
Uncle Scrooge said to them how much '
money was in the bin and all of the details.
Oh yes, there were fifty detectives. They
got right on the case. The blocked off all of
the roads but found nothing, But, they kept
the roads closed up and sent twenty-five of
the detectives in to search every
millimetre of the town.
•
In the last house they looked over, they
found the money. The detectives took the
bad guys to jail and uncle Scrooge had
gifts for everybody.

8 The First Christmas
Santa told all the elves to work quickly
because we don't have much time. So they
all went to work. Santa was getting all the
reindeer ready forChristmas night. 'Then
Santa went into check on the elves to make
sure they were making the right toys, Then
all of the sudden the elves had trouble.
Ralph said they were running out of
materials
Santa had to go to the material shop. She
filled his sleigh with everything he needed.
Santa was back and they made everything
that they could out of the little bits of
material. Then Santa put all the materials
on the shelf.
A couple days later, Santa caught a cold
and it was a very bad cold. After a few
days Mrs. Claus noticed it. 'Mrs. Claus
gave Santa some hot soup and then 'made
him go to bed right away.
Santa said, "dear, I have to deliver the
presents to the children or the children will
be wondering what happened to me?"
Mrs. Claus said, "just go to sleep and
don't worry about it. You have at least a
week or two to get rid of your cold."
• Then, early in the afternoon the message
got passed to the elves and the elves were
worried that the presents might not get. to
the children, but Mrs. Claus said, "don't
worry."
When Santa woke up he was all fussy and
sneezing and coughing. Then, Mrs.- Claus
came in and made him go to sleep.
Mrs. Claus went to' check on the elves
and they were almost done. They just had
to make a few more toys.
In a few 'more days it would be
Christmas and Santa would not be able to
