of Christmas activities
By JaSon Cameron, Adrian Rau and
Trisha MacDonald
Mrs. Scptt's Grade 4 class is starting to
work on Christmas centres on December
16. The students really enjoy doing the
centres.
There were a lot of moms and dads of
Grade 4 students at the Christmas concert
on Tuesday, December 16. They are hav-
ing another Pay Day on December 18. The
students will be bringing in toys to let other
students buy them and they can buy some
too. The prices will be no more than $1
(play money, of course! ). The Grade 4
reporters are Jenean Todd and Heather
Alton.
No arm bars
The traditional arm bars will not be part
of the awards program at the school this
year. The school has implemented a new
certificate on which special seats are .plac-
ed in oiler to recognize various activities
throughout the year.
Mrs. Cameron's Kindergarten .1 made
reindeer and bells. They would like to wish
everyone a Merry Christmas. •
In Grade 3 Room 4, Krakatoa, they have
a beautiful -cedar tree, thanks to the
Daltons. With their Grade 8 friends, they
,made ornaments in pyramid and cube
shapes. They have hundreds of .paper
chains too, four long strings each contain-
ing 100 chains.
The elass.is also working on .Christmas
centres'. They went carolling on Thursday
and when they came 'back, they were sery'-
ed warm wassail. Yum! ! Yum!! Merry
Christmas, everyone. The Grade 3
reporters are Tammy Upthegrove and
Simone Bleeker.

Mrs. Whitby said indications are that the
hospital will be turning to more chronic
care patients in the future.
She also explained about an upcoming
Immunization clinic for the current flu bug
which could turn to lethan meningitis. She
said the vials come in lots of 10 and are on-
ly good for 48 hours.
"A clinic is to be arranged and the
hospital will pay for the vaccine as the
government does not' cover the expense.
This is a PR, gesture and it is something
very important," she concluded.
Mrs, Whitby will serve on the hospital
board for 1987.
