ror. The period ended with a goal from
Vanderveld assisted by Rhody and
Stanley:
The third saw Stevenson score again on
a well placed pass from Rhody. Justin
Murray scored his first goal of the year,
when he stationed himself well in front and
picked up a Stevenson pass after Stanley
had kept the puck in at the blue line. The
game ended in a furious last five minutes
of play that saw Mildmay score on a power
play and when the forwards backed in and
let the opposition unleash a slap shot.
Stevenson answered this while gaining his
second hat trick of the year, when
Vanderveld fed,hinn a perfect pass,
Lucknow 12 - Blyth 1
At home on Friday night the boys really
caught fire and gave up their sluggish
ways. This game really demonstrated
Lucknow's scoring power as all lines were
in on at least 3 goals, The scoring was led
by Robbie Crich• who had a hat trick of
goals and one assist, Chris Stevenson and
Dale Priestap both with a goal and three
assists, Brad Rhodie with two goals and an
assist, Gavin Hunter and Dennis Park both
with a goal and two assists, Justin Murray
and Mike Vanderveld with 3 assists and
three...
Adrian Rau with two goals. The defence
also added to the scoring with Russel Sut-
ton having a goal and an assist and Donnie
Cullerier assisting from the blue line,
Blyth did not lay down and play dead but
continued to skate well and keep the
defense busy. Particularly impressive was
the improved play of Russel Sutton in be-
ing aggressive in the opposition end;
although, he has trouble staying out of the
penalty box. Don Cullerier and Dwayne
Porter looked much improved standing at
the blue line, shooting from the point and
staying in front of their own net. Peter
Reavie continued his solid checking game
and is a hard player to get around.
Over the course of the three games
Adam Skillen played two shut out periods
against Blyth and -the four goal game with
Mildmay, Derek Turner played four
periods against Blyth and was scored upon
only three times. Both goalies looked very
impressive between ,the pipes and on a
number of occasions made outstanding
saves to keep their tears in the games.
The teals is looking forward to having
Peter Neufeld return to them after his
minor foot surgery. Next game is Monday
December 15 at home against Teeswater
who they have not beaten yet this year,
