(Man Rivett photo) Farmers concerned over recreation project By Alan Rivett Approximately 50 members of the public attended a public meeting in Dungannon to � voice their opposition to a proposed recreation complex on Concession °4 of West Wawanosh Township. The planning meeting at the Senior Citizens' Centre in Dungannon in December 1 was held by the Huron County Planning Department to 'get the public's view on the recreation complex, called Sherwood Forest Lodge,' to be built in the township by Alvin Sherwood of Dungannon. Winter Hours will start in January with the site being open Saturdays only from 9 to 5. At this time of year toy shelves and clothes closets may need a good cleaning in preparation for the additions of Christmas. On December 13 and 20 useable toys and clothing will be collected at the site. Residents of West Wawanosh who want to recycle a toy can do so. Clothing should be clean and in plastic bags. Since 1983, the OPP has experienced a gradual but significant decrease in the number of drinking drivers at R.I.D.E. spot checks during the Christmas -New Year's season.
