Mrs. Reid hosts .MS meeting
Mrs. Don r eid hosted the Icinlough
Presbyterian WIVLS November meeting on
Wednesday afternoon with Mrs.. Don
Bushell presiding.
Mrs, Bushell opened with two rea4' ,ngs
and all repeated the purpose. The rollcall
was "a bible verse with remembrance".
The usual opening and business were
followed with the election of officers.
The hostess led the devotions with scrip-
tures on "why were we created?" To
glorify God; to let our light shine daily.
Our Lord Jesus glorified God in giving His
life on the cross for our redemption,
Mrs. Bert Thompson was. m charge of
the program. She asked: How much time
do each of us take daily to return our
thanks to God for the good land we live in?
We live in a free world, free from' hunger,
freedom to worship, but shamefully not all
do. We could' all be free from drugs and
alcohol if we chose to glorify God daily. Do
we take time to thank God for those who
have defended our land and those in train-
ing for our safety? We have freedom of
education and to worship God weekly in
His Holy church for praise, prayer and
thanksgiving. We have always had the Bi-
ble, dO we read it daily and pray and thank
God? For these and all His mercies, we do
need to return thanks.
Prayer closed the meeting and the
hostess served
