Friends of Jack (Dorie) MacDonald are glad to hear he has been transferred to.Kin- cardine Hospital and is improving, Tammy Sutton enjoyed being a partici- pant in the Santa qaus Parade in Kincar- dine on Saturday, Allen and Marie Coiling, Marj Thompson and Kay Collins, spent the weekend in Toronto. . Guest speaker. was Rodger Elliott of O.F.A. who said we have 25,000 members in Ontario. All enjoyed the ban- quet and the dance that followed. Mrs. Robert Kearns of Mississauga spent Saturday afternoon with her cousin Gladys Arnold, Mrs. Eudora Owens of Hamilton spent last week with her sister Alma and brother- in-law Donald Gillies. Valley, Alberta passed . away suddenly at his home on Thursday, September 18, 1986. He was 70 years of age. ' ', Mr. Webster was born in the Snake Lake district on September 17,1916 and"attended Snake Lake, School. On completion of his schooling heworked for his father while also driving. the Dairy Pool cream truck. On June 22, 1942, Mr. Webster married June Burford.. They, managed the. OVT ' ,Ranch for the next 40 years. In 1982, they retired and moved, to Big Valley where Lloyd still remained active in .helping his brother Jack on the family farm. The Rancher's life was his great love,. working with the cattle and horses gave him much fulfillment.. His dedication to the community he loved and the respect he had for his friends and' neighbours was very dear to him. He was a member of the. Elks Lodge for 45 years and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He served on the Big Valley 4-11 Club as assistant leader, the Big Valley United Church Board, as well as the Hall Board and the Curling Club. Lloyd also loved to have a good time. His youthful outlook on life stayed with him and he was still busy trying new endeavors with his best partner, June. He leaves to mourn his loss his loving wife dune of Big Valley; a daughter. Joan of Okotoks; two sons, Allen and his wife Sylvia, of Red Deer and Doug and his wife,. Diane of Vancouver; six grandchildren,. Larry, Lori, David, Shauna, Darcy and Nelson; his sister, Doreen Toker of Cham- pion and brother Jack" of Big Valley. He was predeceased by his father, Ed in 1960; his mother, Annie in 1973; a sister, Thelma in 1961 and a brother, Bruce in 1982. Funeral services were held from the Big Valley United Church " on Monday, September 22, with Rev. Catherine W aldie officiating, ' Honorary bearers were Jim Brenchley, Lloyd Archie McAIister, Russel Watts, Tom Usher, Howard Kenzler, Dave Smith, Cliff Romiane and Gordon Connor. Active bearers were Sandy Davie, Bob Fraser, Lloyd. Duncan, Lyle Watts, Jim Greig and John Walters.
