Mr. and Mrs. George Armstrong recent- ly moved to their home at the manse. On Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. George Arm- strong rmstrong treated their daughter Mr. and. Mrs. Parry, Jessica, Brock and Traford of Bright by holding a birthday party for Mrs. Parry. Mr. Armstrong called on Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson at Bray Lodge. On Tuesday, Fred Tiffin, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mierhouse, Wenonah and Juanita of Vancouver. Mrs. Porteous and Mrs. Cum- 4-H club chooses executive ming of Lucknow were callers on Mr. and. IrVirigharn hospital and is com- ing along fine. By Jill Campbell After three meetings of the Etiquette for the 80s 4-H club, the members have learn- ed quite a bit. The first .meeting was on September 22 at the Kinloss Community Centre. At that meeting, the club voted on the executive. They are as follows: President - Karen Hedley; Vice -President - Laura Hodgins; Secretary - rotating throughout the group; Treasurer - Tracey Smolenaars; Press Reporters - Jill Campbell and Jennifer Brown. Other members are: Tammy Husk, Jodi Edwards, April Brindley, Jen- nifer Stanley, Amy Moulton, Julie Stanley and Connie Husk (visitor). The leaders of the 4-H club area Rose Moulton' and Bev Hodgins. In the first meeting, the members learn- ed how to introduce people, and how to be a good host -hostess. The second meetingwas on September. 29 and they discussed manners, how to give a, party, and the writing of formal "or informal invitations. The members decid- ed to have a name and a .picture for the group. At the third meeting of the., group on Oc- tober 20, the club discussed plans for the banquet which will be held on November 24 at the Anglican Church in Kincardine. A vote was held on the book cover picture., April Brindley's picture won the vote. Next came the name; we voted on Amy Moulton's "Misses' Manners", Later in the meeting, the group discuss- ed how to eat certain foods while in a restaurant, or at someone's home. The members then practised introducing guest speakers. Auxiliary holds meeting ing, oing, but.notgone. Not yet. The Lucknow Ladies Auxiliary to Winter Sports met Thursday, October 30 in the Town Hall with nine workers in attendance. President Shirley Stanley commented on the fine job and co-operation received from all the workers who man the food booth in the arena. The 'executive expressed the wish that more of the workers would attend the meetings~, This would help to explain the daily problems that workers have to con- ' tend with: ' The auxiliary won $100 from the Lucknow and District Sports Complex Draw. This money bought another ticket in the draw. The food booth is now settling a Lucknow Sports Pin. The pin represents Lucknow and all sports.
