People report Elmer. and Edna Culbert along with Julie and Michael MacDonald, the children of George and Andrea Mac- Donald, were in Kincardine on Sunday to attend the baptism of Michelle Lazette,, daughter of Michael and Brenda Lazette, of Kincardine. Visiting with Barry, Betty and Sharlene Jones last week were some of Sharlene's friends to help celebrate her 19th birthday. They were Dianne Stevens and Belinda Kipp of Thorndale, Michelle Bakker and William of Brampton and Fern Martin of Kitchener. HOCKEY PLAYERS WANTED.. Recently, the Lochalsh store, a land- mark for this area,'has been torn down and in its place is gravel which has been levell- ad off. The store was owned and operated by the late D.A. MacLennan. • The Ashfeld Presbyterian Church held a. successful Hallowe'en party -for the children on Wednesday evening. It began at 5 p.m. with a hot dogs supper. They also played games in the early evening which were enjoyed by all. Ewa$ and Mari. MacLean returned home on Monday evening after a two week vacation in Bradton, Florida. The weather there was lovely with temrnpreatures in the 30 degree`rannge. And it only rained on their last day there. V�e`rakend visitors with Dorothy Frnlayson was her daughter and son-in- law and two grandchildren, John Balch, Carol Finlayson, Alexander and Nicholas of Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Robb visited with their daughter and family, Bob, Sandra, e Heather and Mark Darling of Hanover. They also visited frien • in Dundalk on Friday. Paul Ayriss of Vancouver, British Col- umbia, an old army pal of Art Mathewman, visited with them for a cou- ple of days. Mr. Ayriss had come east for the annual reunion of the Royal Canadian Ragoonswhich is held every year in Toronto. Kairshea TSI holds annual "At Home" Kinloss Kairshea WI held their annual -At Home" on Saturday, November 1. This evening is held yearly to entertain members' families and husbands. The evening began with a pot -luck meal which was prepared by the ladies and en- joyed by all. Violin music throughout the evening was provided by Ira Dickie and • Harold Campbell accompanied on piano by Blanche Needham. • Betty Finlayson introduced the guest for the evening, Miss Barbara Wilkins who is Registrar and Services Co-ordinator at Five Oaks in Paris, Ontario.
