Wingham man dies at age 61
William Joseph Kinahan
William Joseph Kinhhan of 365 Frances
Street in Wingham, died after a long 11 -
bless in the Wingham and District Hospital
on October 27 at 61 years -of -age.
Mr. Kinahan was the former local agent
for the Sun Life Assurance Company for
approximately 30 years. He also fanned in.
the area for a number of yeas before
becoming an insurance agent. He was a
member of the Sacred Heart School Board
and also served for 10 years on the Huron -
•Perth Roman Catholic School. Board. He
was chairman of the school board in 1979.
He was also a member of the Knights of
Columbus and wasthe former president of
the Huron -Perth Lung Association. He was.
a member of the Sacred. Heart Roman
Catholic Church in Wingham' and the St.
Augustine Roman Catholic Church.
Born in West Wawanosh Township o�n
November 27, 1924, he was the son of the
late Augustine Kinahan and the late
Genevieve O'Connor. Mr. Kinahan mar-
ried the former Mary Kennedy on August
1, 1953.
He is survived by his children,
Genevieve (Mrs. Robert Gibson) of Kit-
chener; Gordon of Newmarket; Leo of
Toronto and William, at home. He is also
survived by one sister, Mrs. Bill Metcalfe
and one brother, Michael Kinahan of
Lambeth.
He is predeceased by one son, Robert in
1977.
Funeral services were held ' at the St,
Augustine Roman Catholic Church with
Father Frank Dentinger officiating. Con-
celebrating the mass of the .Christian
Burial were Rev,. Ed Dentinger, Rev. Stan
Soltysik and Rev. Lawrence Couglin.
The pallbearers were Louis Parent, jack
Lane, Keith Montgomery, Mike Courtney,
Ken Leddy and Raymond Hallahan. The
flowerbearers were Katherine' Kinahan
and Mark Edwards, Godchildren of Mr,
Kinahan,
Interrmient was at the St. Augustine
Cemetery.
Albert William Morningstar
Albert William Morningstar, a resident
of London, died in Victoria Hospital in Lon-
don
on-
d on . on October 24, He was 69.
Born in Wisconsin on May 3, 1917, he was
the son of the late Allan Vern Morningstar
of Strathroy and the late Edna Ferguson.
He married the late Velma Hunter,
formerly of Tiverton, in Strathroy in 1945.
He *as a member of the United Church of Q
Canada.
Mr, Morningstar is survived by four
sons, Wayne of Port Dover, Dennis of Van-
couver, Glenn of Port Elgin and Alvy of
Port Dover, and one daughter Valerie of
Malta. He is also survived by two half-
brothers and one half-sister in the
Strathroy area and four grandchildren.
He is predeceased by one son Blaine in
1977.
The funeral service and the Legion ser-
vice were held at the MacKenzie and Mc-
Creath Funeral Home on October 26 with
Rev. G. McFarlane officiating.
The flowerbearers were Harold and
David Humphrey while the pallbearers
were Bob MacKenzie, Eldon Mann,
George Anderson, Bud Thompson, Ed
Pyatt and Art Ernewein.
Interment was at the South Kinloss
Cemetery.
