Marion Elizabeth Anne Johnstone and
Robert (.Bob) Frederick McComb ex-
changed marriage vows at the Lucknow
United Church on July 26, 1986 with Rev.
Ralph Ingleby of Warkworth officiating.:
The bride is the daughter of Gordon and
Bernice Johnstone of Lucknow and the
groom is the son of Marvin and Shirley Mc-
Comb of RR 2 Castleton. The Matron of
Honor was. Linda Croskill of Listowel,
friend of the bride and the bridesmaids
were Joan Irwin, Carol Ritchie, both• of
London, and Muriel Taylor ofRR 1
Belgrave, all friends of the bride. The
flowergirl was Jennifer Johnstone of RE 8
Chatham, niece of the bride, and the
ringbearer was. David Croskill of Listowel.
Groomsman was Howard Herrema off RR
2 Uxbridge, friend of the bride. Ushers
were Stephen Yatsula of RR 3 Brighton,
friend of the bride, Dale McComb of RR 2
Castleton, brother of the groom and Bruce
' Johnstone of RR 8 Chatham, brother of the
bride. A reception followed at the Lucknow
Community Centre. Following a honey-
moon to Alberta and British Columbia, the
couple are residing at RR 1 Castleton.

Pettiplace - Caesar
Don and Doris Caesar of RR. 5 Lucknow
are pleased to announce the marriage of
their daughter Vickie Lynne to Barry
Jaynes, son of Donna Pettiplace and the
late Ken . Pettiplace of Teeswater, The
marriage took place on October 6 in
Walkerton, Their attendants were Sandra
Moser of Kitchener and Douglas Wall of
Teeswater. The happy couple are residing
at RR 1 Formosa. *

Ian Montgomery,_ son of Gordon and
Noreen Montgomery of Lucknow,,and
Jean Hall, daughter of the' late Floence
and Murray Hall formerly of Binbrook,
Ontario, were married at the Dungannon
United Church on September 5, 1986 with
Rev. Roberts and assistant Mr, John
Williams officiating. The Matron of Honor
was Barb Willits of Lucknow while the
Groomsman was Bruce Willits of
Lucknow. The wedding reception was held
at the couple's home on September 6 for
family and September 13 for friends. Mr.
and Mrs. Montgomery will reside at RR 5.

Speaker discusses 'Yukon Iudans.
The Trinity UCW held their October
meeting at the home of Mrs, Herb Wilkins.
Mrs. Blake Alton called the meeting to
, order and gave a reading. The devotions
were read by Mrs. Steve -Andrew and Mrs.
Jack Cameron. The scripture lesson from
Psalm and John were read by Mrs. An-
drew. Mrs, Cameron gave the meditation.
A poem on Thanksgiving was read by Mrs.:;
Andrew and two songs were sung by all.
The devotions closed with 'prayer,
The roll call was answered by a
Thanksgiving Thought. The. Service of the
Least Coin was observedand all repeated
the prayer in unison.
Mrs. Don Alton . introduced the.. guest
speaker, Mrs; Peter Long of f Wingham,:
She and her husband, Dr, Peter Long,
spent seven *years in the Yukon. She gave
an 'interesting talk on the Indians in the
. Yukon. Mrs: Larry Wilkins thanked Mrs.
Long for her interesting talk.
The mem''bers'' were reminded of the
Thankoffering at North Ashfield on Oc-.
• ° tober 19 at 8 p.m. The annual potluck sup-
per will be held on November 4 in the
church basement,
The minutes of the `'last meeting were
read and approved. The treasurer's report
was also given. All were reminded to have
their reports• to the president by October

The meeting closed with the Benediction
followed by a delicious lunch served by the
hostess and her committee._ '

entertained
recently
On Saturday, Mrs. George Lubbers
brought Brian, Dennis, Karen and Richard
to visit with Mr. and Mrs, Victor Emerson
at Bray Lodge, Wingham. Four, -year-old
.Richard presented the Emerson's with a
family photograph and also entertained
them by singing some songs.
Callers on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Victor Emerson at Bray Lodge in
Wingham were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tiffin,
Mrs. Agnes Farrier and Mrs. Norma Rin-
toul who also visited at Listowel
Houses for sale in the Whitechurch are

son's,. Kevin Falconer's, and A. France's
house, the former Alex Craig house is also
up for sale.

Lions Ladies
hold meeting
Twenty-four members of the Lucknow
Lions Ladies met for a short meeting and a
potluck dinner recently,
Barb Cranston gave the secretary's "
report followed by the -treasurer's report..
A short business discussion was held and,
later, Mea Dalton spoke to the members of
her trip to.Haiti.
BEYERSBERGEN Mr. and Mrs, Marius
Beyersbergen of RR 2 Lucknow are pleas-
ed to announce the birth of their son Luke
William, 6.lbs,. 12 oz,, on October 12,1986 at
the Wingham and District Hospital.. He's a
baby brother for Sarah and Andrew;
