Fair was big success
On Thanksgiving evening October 13, the
second Monday in the month, the Ripley

Evelyn Elliott, Barb Messenger, Marj Mac-
Donald, Gordon Patterson, Keith van der
Hoek, Bob and Maryann Forster, Don Reid,-
Shirley Barris, Cecil and Wilma Sutton,
Allan Tranter, Don and Anna MacTavish.
The feeling about the fair expressed ina.
few words was that it was a good fair; for-
tunate to have nice weather; a big parade;
few complaints.; and good gates. .Bob
Forster reported a very successful car show
with 44 or 45 entries for the first time. They
will have the car show again next year.
Allan Tranter, M.C. for the Saturday
afternoon show said that everything had
gone great. A vote of thanks was given to
Allan at the meeting for a job well done.
A motion was made to engage the midway
for next year. Another motion was made for
treasurer Mrs. Sheila MacDonald to write
cheques for the prizes. At the end of next
week, on Saturday evening, November 1,
