October meeting recently
The Anglican Church Women in
Kinlough held the October meeting on
Thursday afternoon at the church. Mrs.
Eric Thacker was hostess with Mrs. Roy
Collins presiding and reading the scrip-
ture. Prayer followed the hymn.
Mrs. Ronald Thacker read the minutes
of the previous meeting and the
correspondence.
Ladies were reminded of the WMS
thankoffering and of Miss Edna Boyle's
open house. A letter was received from a
former member who sent her best wishes
to all.
The November 13 Friendship Day plans
were finalized and the church calendars
given out.
Mrs. Harvey Cooper gave the report of
the South Saugeen Deanery meeting at
Walkerton, which some of our ladies at-
tended last Tuesday.
Convenors for the Christmas meeting
are Mrs. Eric Thacker and Mrs. Roy Col-
lins. Six. bales were packed for
Pikevetonei, Manitoba and a donation will
be made to St. Monica House, Waterloo in
time for Christmas. A quilting was also
planned.
May Boyle led in the closing prayer.
Mrs. Agnes Hodgins gave the courtesies.
Dinner guests
Ladies from here were dinner guests of
Mr. and Mrs. Morley Bushell and
Margaret in Wingham, on Wednesday.
Following the delicious meal, contests by
Doris Bushell and Joan Barr tested the
thinking of those present.
Doris displayed two clocks, one made
from a car's hub cap and one' from a tree
that had to be removed from their proper-
ty; also a number of thimbles from her col-
lection. Doris also modelled and Indian
costume that she had made for an event in
the town. She is indeed a lady of many
talents and we are all proud that she was a
former Kinloughite.

receive an original big birthday greeting
card, with a red heart in the centre, which
