Forrner Lueknow man dies
J�i.rtr es Cummings Stewart.
James Cummings Stewart of Toronto
died recently at St. Michael's Hospital in
Toronto at the age of 73.
Orn in. Lucknow on July 2, 1913, he was
the son of the late A.P. Stewart, formerly
of Lucknow, and the late Mrs. 'Cummings,.
also formerly of Lucknow.
Mr. Stewart was survived by three
sisters, Jean, Mrs. Eric Whiteley of Peter-
borough; Bessie, Mrs. Ross MacDonald of
Ottawa; Jessie Stewart of Vancouver and
by nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by one sister Marion
Peterson, formerly of Luckndw.
The funeral service was held at the
MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home
on October 4 with Rev. A Ramsay of the
Lucknow Presbyterian Church officiating.
Interment was at the Greenhill
Cemetery in Lucknow.

Edward James Blackwell
Edward James * lackwell, a Lucknow
resident, died at the Wingham and District
Hospitall on Thursday, October 2. He was
67 years of age.
Mr. Blackwell was born in Regina,
Saskatchewan on September 16, 1919. He
was a member of Lucknow Legion Branch
309.
The funeral service was held on October
4 at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral
Home with Rev. R Roberts officiating. The
Legion Branch 309 service was held on Oc-
tober 3.
Interment ,was at the Greenhill.
Cemetery in Lucknow.
Alberta man champion fund-raiser
Gerry Van Beers of Whitelaw, Alberta,
formerly of Kinloss Township, has become
a champion fund-raiser for the Terry Fox
run: This year he single-handedly raised
$4,425 for the Fairview, Alberta 1986 run,
well ahead of his record totals from the
past two years.
His pledges boosted the Fairview total to
more than $9,700, a figure which continues
Fairview's reign as the Terry Fox Run
centre in Alberta and probably in Canada.
Mr. Van Beers completed the 10 km run
in one hour and two minutes.
There were some lucky local winners at
the 10th . annual Wingham and District
Association for the Mentally Handicapped
LUCKNOW
Dinner, Dance and Draw in Brussels- on
October 4. The local winners were: Ian
Montgomery $1,000; Jerry and Mary Lou
Priestap $1,000; Brenda. and Steve Berry -
$1,000; Bill Chisholm - $100 and Lucknow
Legion Branch 309 $100. the Legion
donated the money back to the association,
Grant Chisolm sold the tickets to the above
mentioned winners. Lorraine (Boyle) Fox-
ton also was a $1,000 winner.

NOTICE OF THE PASSING OF A ZONING
BYLAW BY THE CORPORATION OF
THE. TOWNSHIP OF CULROSS
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Township of Culross passed By-law No. 20.1985 on
the 22nd day of September, 1986 under Section 34 of The Planning Act, 1983.
AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or agency may appeal to the Ontario Municipal Hoare
hi respect of the By-law by filing with the Clerk of the Township of Culross not later
than the 27th day of October, 1986, a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the
8y -law and the reasons in support of the objection.
An explanation of the purpose end effect of the By-law, has been provided below. A
"fey Map" describing the lends to which the By-lairy applies has not been, included with
this notice sielee the By -Raw applies to all lends within the Municipal boundaries of the
Township of Cuirass. The complete By -laces is available for inspection in my office during

TOWNSHIP OF'CULROSS COMPREHENSIVE ZONING BY-LAW 20-1985
Zoning By-law No. 20-1985 of the Corporation of the Township of Culross is a Comprehen-
sive Zoning By-law designed to apply to all lands within the Township of Cuirass. This
By-law regulates the use of land and the manner in which buildings and structures are
erected. it also repeals, all former zoning by-laws passed by the Township Council.
