Couple enjoys
Toronto tour.
Ken and Brenda Bridge of Purple Grove
recently visited in Toronto and enjoyed the
Museum and Science Centre as well as
visiting: friends.,
Jack and Janet Farrell visited on the
weekend at Thorndale with George, Janice
and Rachel Miller, '. Also visiting the
Miller's on Friday were Laura Farrell,
Sarah, David and Patrick.
A number of Purple Grove friends and
relatives attended the funeral of Gladys
Mason on Tuesday. Sympathy is extended
to her family.
A disastrous fire occurred last Monday
when the home of Don, Marilyn and Larry
Reid ,was destroyed. The Reids are tem-
porarily living in the K. Collins home on
Con. 12, Neighbour's are planning a benefit
dance for the fancily on Oct. 4 in Ripley
Community Centre.
The training school for the 4-H club 'Eti-
quette for the 80's" was held last Wednes-
day at Kincardine, . Brenda Bridge and
Shirley MacDonald attended from. Purple
Grove. Any 4-H aged people who are in-
terested in taking this club should contact
one of the leaders. The first meeting 'will
be on Tuesday at Brenda Bridge's home.
