Upcoming will be a draw with the following prizes: first, a queen sized quilt; second, a hand -painted china -plate and third, a crib sized. quilt. Tickets will go on sale soon and the prizes will be displayed at the The Sewing Box a few weeks before the draw. This will be held at the annual Senior Citizens' party on a yet -to -be finalized date in early December. • Stress Workshop In October, we are sponsoring a stress workshop led by a resource person from the Grey -Bruce Health Centre. This work- shop will be open to everyone, men and women alike and will be free of charge. Nancy Aitchison introduced Rachelle and Shelley from Ellison Travel in Wingham to talk about travelling. They gave us a checklist for packing, ten commandments for travellers in foreign countries and brochures describing tours and cruises, near and far. A question and answer discussion followed, covering many topics such as: medical and baggage, insurancet. what;not to eat ordrink, poverty in the Carribean, renting a car, and what to do in case of theft especially of passport or ID. Booking through a travel agent can give y9u recourse in case of any problems and can often save the traveller money. A travel agency has information about special rates, etc.., that a person could not ordinarily find out. Even trips as close as Toronto can cost less because a travel agency can get preferred rates at some hotel chains. Rachelle and Shelley highly recommend- ed a cruise as a less expensive way to take a holiday because the cost is very reasonable for all the services, entertain- ment, and sight-seeing opportunities prov- ided. The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all. f4 .
