Ladies of the community gathered at the
Kinlough Pentecostal Church basement on
Friday evening for a bridal shower for Miss
Connie, Stanley,
Yellow and white streamers and wed-
ding bells made a colourful setting. Mrs.
Allan McArthur asked each one to intro-
duce themselves and Mrs. Christensen
opened the evening with a prayer. Mrs.
McArthur conducted a few games.
Connie and her sister Cathy Stanley and
the groom's sister Jeanette Howald, and
the bride's sister Cindy Stanley read the
verses on the shower gifts as the y unger
girls brought them from the bridal table.
There were many lovely and useful gifts
for which Connie expressed her thanks.
Punch, coffee and light refreshments were
enjoyed as well as a time of fellowship.

David attended the wedding of George
Minow and Lori Miller at St. Lukes Church,
Byron on Friday, September 12.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Gillespie and David
had Mr. and Mrs. Orval Wilson and Mr.
and Mrs. Don Gillespie over on .Saturday
evening.
Visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Tom McDon-
ald were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schuler of
Kincardine and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Guest
from London.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom McDonald and Mr.
and Mrs. Bert Thompsonspent the past
weekend at Niagara Falls.
Mrs. Allan Pope of Sudbury visited
during the week with Mrs. Frank Maulden
and Keith.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bennett and his
mother Mrs. Marjorie Bennett spent the
weekend here with Mr. Arthur Haldenby.

week's holiday.
Mr. and Mrs. Doan Bushell spent last
weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Nielson
and family at Peterborough.

and Mrs. Tom McDonald visited with Mr.
and Mrs. Bert Thompson.
Mr, and Mrs. Andy Page visited
Saturday in Toronto with Dr. and Mrs.
Iman Mohamed and the boys.
ACW meting
The Kinlough Anglican Church Women
met on Thursday afternoon at the home of
Mrs. Delbert Hedley with a good attend-
ance.
Mrs. Hedley presided and the meeting
opened with a hymn, followed by the
members prayer and the Lord's prayer.
The scripture reading from St. Matthew,
chapter 13 was read by Mrs. Agnes
Hodgins.
The theme of the meeting was harvest
and the roll call was a Bible verse
contain the word "Harvest". Mrs. Ron-
ald Thacker read the minutes of the
previous meeting. Mrs. Eric Thacker
reported on a bale for Limbe in North Haiti.
It was announced that the South
Saugeen deanery meeting will be held in
Walkerton on Tuesday, October 7. A thank
you letter was read and get well cards were
signed. The October meeting will be the
bale packing. Miss May Boyle gave the
meditation which was a missionary story
from the Living Message. Miss Edna Boyle
read a poem and Mrs. Agnes Hodgins,
Mrs. Roy Collins and Mrs, David Haldenby
gave readings.
Following the closing hymn, Mrs. Eric
Thacker gave the courtesy remarks and a
lovely lunch was served by the hostess.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Gillespie, Mr. and
Mrs. Ron Gillespie and David and Mr, and
Mrs. Andy Page attended the Nicholson
family dinner on Sunday at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Smith at Seaforth. There
were 37 present.

Pinkerton with Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Lamont.

Douglas McDonald, Mr. and Mrs. Mac

Bushell, Wingham, and Miss Margaret
Bushell of Goderich attended the Barr -
Cormack Reunion at South East Hope on
Sunday.

Trinity United Church women
Trinity UCW held their September
meeting at the home of Mrs. Tyme
Reurink. -
Mrs. Blake Alton opened the meeting
with a reading. Mrs. Marvin Scott and
Mrs. Jim Farrish led the devotions
followed by a hymn. The scripture lesson
was from Matthew 6. Mrs, Scott had a
reading and another hymn was sung. Mrs,
Farrish closed with prayer.
The roll call was answered by an article
from the Observer. Mrs. Cliff Kilpatrick
also gave a reading. The service of the
Least Coin was observed and alljoined
in prayer. Mrs. Jim Hunter read a poem
and Mrs. Larry Wilkins led the study book
on Indians.
The minutes of the July meeting Were
read ;and approved as well as the
recommendations from the finance com-
mittee. Mrs. Blake Alton had the following
announcements: a bus trip will be taken
September 17 from Dungannon church to
London; October 19 is • the date of the
Thankoffering at Ashfield Presbyterian
Church at 8 p.m.; fall rally .at Nile United
on September 30. The _ treasurer's report
was given.
' Mrs. Harvey Ritchie reported on Supply
and Welfare. Anyone with used clothing
for the Wingham Ruminage Sale is to leave
it in the church basement prior to October
15. Mrs. Ken Alton reported on the next
catering jobs: November 8, Legion banquet
and November 21., the Horticultural
banquet. Also the Union Pastoral Charge
barbeque is September 21 at Brookside
School from 5 to 7 p.m.
All year end reports are to be given to
the president by October 20. The meeting
closed.. With a hymn. The hostess and •her
committee served a delicious lunch.

By-law 101986 has the following purpose and effect:
A. By-law 10-1986 resolves objections lodged to zoning by-law 5-1986 through the follow-
ing amendments:
PORT ALBERT _
1. The development area between Russell Street and Victoria Street ; .
is zoned Village Residential (VR1)
2. Part Lots 39 and 40, R.P. 136 are zoned Natural Environment (NE1-2)
to recognize an existing residence.
3. The undevelopabie area south of the unopened stteet allowance
of Melbourne Street is zoned Natural Environment (NE1)
4. Part Lot 1, south of Melbourne Street, R.P. 136, is zoned Village
Residential (VR1).
5. Lots 36, 37 and Part Lot 38, east of Wellington Street, R.P.. 136, are
zoned Village Residential (VR1) to recognize the residential use.
6. Part Lots 38 and 39, east of Wellington° Street, R.P. 136, are zoned
Village Commercial (VC1) to recognize the commercial use.

Bylaw 11-1986 has the following purpose and effect:
By-law 111986 amends Bylaw 5-1986 by changing the zoning of Lots 34, 37 and Part
Lot 38, west of Huron St., R.P, 136 in Port Albert to accommodate two minor variances
required from severance applications B2186 and B3186. Specifically, a rear yard of 3.5
metres and lot area of 1305 square metres are permitted by the by-law.
