Anyone who kept track of the rainfall last
Wednesday and Thursday will know that
some new records were set with over 7

Now that is a lot of rain. Not only did the
rain end an enscelle ,t white bean harvest,
the Huron Plowmen's Association also
cancelled it's plowing competition for the
12 and 13 of Septe ;ber.
The plowing match has been resched-
uled for Friday and Saturday, October 3
and 4 at the farm of Mr. Murray Cardiff.
Friday will feature a coaching session
and a special class for boys and girls of 4 -I -I
and Junior Farmer age. Saturday's sched-
ule includes regular classes, conservation
tillage, Queen of the Furrow Competition,
Log Sawing and Nail Driving Competition.

Tillage competition
The conservation tillage class comneti-
tion is scheduled for Saturday, October 4 at
the farm of Murray Cardiff, beginning at 1
p. m.
This is an excellent informative event to
attend whether you are practicing conser-
vation tillage or are considering conserva-
tion tillage. The event will reveal the
techniques used to set up your implements
to get desired conservation and crop
production benefits. It will also demon-
strate some of the different implements
which are available for conservation
tillage.
The conservation till ge class is open to
all farmers and dealers, and includes use of
any primary tillage implement. The plots
are scored in six categories; percent resid-
