Woman dies at Auburn area home
Dorothy Elizabeth Errington
Dorothy Errington of RR 2 Auburn died
at her- home on August 17, 1986. She was
57.
Mrs, Errington had worked with her
daughter Donna Sue at Valley Green
Flowers in Lucknow over the past few
months. She was also a member of the
Dungannon United .Church.
Bor9n in Wingham on April 119, 1929, she
was the daughter of John McGee and
Dorene Haney of Wingham. She married
Harold Errington in Blyth on March 27,
1948.
Mrs. Errington is survived by four
daughters, Diane Park of Dungannon;
Penny Hodges of Dungannon; • Naneyt
Hamilton of Lucknow; Donna Sue McCien.

Visitation was on Monday, August 18
with the funeral on August 19 at the
MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Horne
in Lueknow. Rev. Bob Roberts and John
Williams officiated. The flower bearers
were Heather, Ann, Christine, Mary
Kathryn; Maureen and Patricia Stapldton.
The pallbearers were Jack Caesar. Lloyd
Hodges, Keith Blake, Ken Hodges, and
Bill Stewart. ..

Minnie Laurel Emerson.
Minnie Laurel Emerson, "a resident of
the Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home,, died.
At the Wingham and District Hospital on
August 17, 1986: She was 93,
Mrs. Minnie Emerson has been called to
join the Evangelistic Choir above, finally,
after : a long, .painfulstruggle,she has
,reached her"sunimit..Minnie was a loving,
daring person to all her family and friends.
She played the church organ for many
yearn " at the Kinlough Presbyterian
Church, She :liras a life member of the
WMS in which she was very active. first in
.Kinlough and later in Lucknow.
Born in .Ashfield Township 'on June 3, •
1893, she Was the daughter of the late
Ralph Nixon of'Ireland and the late Isabella
•Isaac of Thornbury She was married to.
John Emerson at her Ashfield home on
•
March 16, 1921. Thei farmed in the
Kinlough area until they retired to
Lucknow.
She is survived by two sisters, Belle
Brunt of Winnipeg, Manitoba; Harriette
Albertson of Vancouver, British Columbia,
.and by several nieces and nephews.
She .was predeceased by five brothers
and three sisters.
The funeral service was held at the
MacKenzie and. McCreath Funeral Home
Lucknow on. August 19, with Rev. A.
Ramsay from the Lucknow Presbyterian,
Church officiating.. The flowerbearers were
Cindy and Sherry , Nixon. The active
pallbearers were:, John Nixon, Carmen
Nixon, Ralph Nixon, Delbert Nixon, Randy
Ford and Alex McGregor:
A graveside service was -also held .at
Greenhill. Cemetery in Lucknow.

Glenn William Martin
well known and respected resident of
Ripley, 'Glenn William Martin, passed
away in ° Kincardine and District General
Hospital," on Saturday, August 16, 1986, in
his' 73rd year.
Born in Walpole, Saskatchewan, he was.
the ' son of ` 'the late William Martin and',
Barbara Nesbitt. After his father's death,
he and his mother and sister, Jean, moved
to near .Molesworth; Ontario. This is where
Glenn began over.'50 years in the cheese
makiijg business. In 1934 he came to the
Pine River Chesse Factory, where he later .'
became head cheesemaker and manager
until his retirennent. in 1984. Glenn joined
the Perth Regiment in Stratford in 1939.
With whom heserved overseas until 1946:

Elizabeth Scott. They resided on Highway

service on Sunday evening at 9 p,. The
funeral service was conducted by Rev.
Hugh, Nugent, at the MacKenzie and
McCreath Eunerah.'Home in Ripley on
Monday, August 18,
Pallbearers were Bill and Jim Spence.
Wallace Pollock, Murray Culbert, Robert
Harris and Jack Beaton.
