The monies raised during the annual
Arthritis campaign will be used to finance
on-going research as scientists continue to
seek the causes and cure for arthritis, to
develop safe and effective drugs, improve
rehabititative patient care, and discover
new corrective surgery techniques. The
goal of all projects is to eliminate the pain

Institute Hall

The August meeting •of the Kinloss
Kairshea WI met at the Institute Hall
August 21.
Guests were entertained from the
Lucknovv WL
Mrs. Robert Gilchrist, president, wel-
comed everyone and read .a poem. The
minutes 9f the previous meeting were
read. Resolutions were read at the meeting
previous to the area convention in South-
ampton on September 8, The areas two,
four and six will again canvass for the
Arthritis Society. 4-H leaders for the Fall
project will be Sharon Stein and Roelly de
Boer. Anyone with items for the Fall Fair
display. leave with Mrs. Leonard Clarke.
The speaker at the meeting was Mrs.
Evan Keith who discussed the trip she and
Evan took this past winter to Argentina and
Chile: Beth these -countriesare Spanish
speaking. The climate is continuous
summer, growing three crop s in,two years
and Argentina produces •citrus -fruits,
cotton and is know also for sheep and cattte
raising. But, these countries also .have
- problems such as high taxes, unreliable
gOvernment, and competition in world
markets, Mrs. Leonard Clarke thanked the
speaker.

gave 411 dowsing reading 'The Wedding.
Ire. Donald Mathews gave the courtes-
ies and lunch was served by hostess. Mrs.
Leonard Machines and directors Mrs, Vera
Schmidt, Mrs Jim Burt, Mrs, Clarence
