Representing Canada at the 20th National Junior Angus Showmanship Contest in
• Springfield, Illinois; July 17 18, were Mark Greaves, Arva, Ontario, and Kim Rlntoul,
Lucknow, Ontario. Mark was named among the top 15 finalists. The two won their
respective Province showmanship contest to be eligible for the national competition which
featured 57 contestants from 32 states and Canada. The national event is sponsored by the

Dr. Bruce Colwell, from Kingston, joined
the Colwells for a short visit and was
pleased to meet many he had never met.
He and Anne McCosh were looking for and
later found the grave of John Colwell who
had emigrated from Ireland,
• The adults enjoyed the search for the
baldest man and the shortest skirt for the
ladies - and many got their calculators out
to guess the number of jelly beans in a jar.
