The Lucknow Squirts placed third in ail
Ontario chatrapionship. The Ontario Squirt
"D" championships were held in Ooderich-
on August 23 and 24.
Lucknow got started Saturday afternoon
after waiting on the rain to stop for several
hours. The first game was a pitchers dual
with Lucknow winning 4 - 3 over
Tamworth.

Chris Stevenson allowed four hits,
walked eight and struck out 16 batters. He
also hit a two run homer. Steve Porter and
• Rob Crish also had a bit for Lucknow.
In game two Lucknow defeated Cones-
toga 12 - 2,
Lucknow 12 - Conestoga 2
Stevenson" allowed three hits, walked
eight, struck out 10 and thored three runs.
RobCrich was four for four, Clint Murray
had three hits, Justin Murray two, Brad
Rhody, Duayne Porter, Jason Stanley and
Chris MacDonald one each. Jason Stanley
made some great plays on second. base.
• On Sunday Lucknow met the eventual
champions and were beaten 7 - 1, by St.
Clements.

The boys were in this game all- the way
but a couple of mistakes and some good
hitting by St. Clements in the last inning,
put the game out of reach Chris Stevenson
had two hits, Rob Crich, Justin Murray,
Brad Rhody and Clint Murry had one hit
each: Chris allowed seven hits, walked six
and struck out five. Lucknow then met
Goclerich in the semi final game and lost a
heart breaker 10 -• 9,.

It was ruled a double and we never scored
the run. Brad Rhody had three hits, Justin
Murray two, Jason Stanley, Adrian Helm
and Clint Murray one each.

was the most valuable player of the
tournament.

against this calibre of competition.
On August 19, the LucknOw Squirt
Fastball team eliminated Mildmay from
the playoffs by beating them 40-5. •

Clint Murray pitched .six innings allow-
ing seven walks, no hits and struck out
seven. Chris Stevenson pitched one inning
allowing four walks, One hit an struck out
two. •
