He was predeceased by his wife Jean
Scott. •
The funeral service was held on Monday,
August 18, 1986 at 2 p.m. its the M. cKenzie
McCreath Funeal Home in Ripley with Rev.
Hugh Nugent of Knox Presbyterian Church
officiating. Interment followed in the Ripley
cemetery. The Ripley Legion held a
memorial service at 9 p.m. on Sunday even-
ing. Visitation at the Funeral Home was
held on Sunday afternoon and evening. All
were well attended.
Glenn served with the Canadian Armed
Forces in World War Two. For years he was
the well known Pine River Cheesemaker,

Jean MacDonald of the Pinecrest Manor
Nursing Home staff in Lucknow visited on
the weekend with her sister Noreen Mac-
Donald at their home on Malcolm Street in
Ripley, Mrs. Robin Wylds of Kincardine
visited with Ab Wylds on Monday evening
last week prior to her attendance at tlae
ceramic class of Mrs. Landry on William
Street in Ripley. .
Robin brought along a copy of the 9th An-
nual R.D.H.S. Express newspaper dated
Wed.- Jan. 25, 1956. The editorial staff was
pictured on the upper left hand corner of the
front page. Editors were Patt(Raney)
Mason, and Wayne Atkinson, supervisor Ab
Wylds, head staff writers Ruth Hutton and
Farquhar MacDonald now of Brampton.
Other writers on the front page were Leone
Farrell, Marilyn Parker, Jo -Anne
Loveridge, Myrna Irwin, Elaine Irwin,
Ronald Cory, Shirley Courtney, Kathryn
Cameron, Shirley Culbert, Donald MacLen-
nan, David MacKenzie and Donald •Steele -
all named on the 'front page.
Two pictures inside the paper show a
dozen staff reporters in one group and.the•
second one shows the 12 Ripley District High
School Cheerleaders along with leader Gail
MacArthur, the group which won the trophy
for the third and final time at the Owen
Sound Invitational Track and Field Games,
Personals from different places. in Huron .,
township were listed under the following'
places - Amberley, Poplar Beach, Maple
Leaf, Lochalsh, Purple'Grove, Sixth Conces-
sion, lOth eon. East, Flowerdale, Lisburn,
Lake Shore South, Ripley personals Bethel,
Reids Corners, Point. Clark, Smoky Hollow,
Verdun, and Royal Oak. We found that it
was handy to know the area and also to have
Goldie Buckingham editor of the Kincardine
News to help sort out the copy as it came in.
This 1956 paper was the one which took us.
over to C,K,N.X. TV in Wingham: We kept
this . annual edition going into the mid -
sixties.
