Brlidal. shower
Mrs. Ellwood Elliott fif concession 8 was
hostess for over 30 relatives on Thursday
afternoon for a bridal shower for her niece
Miss Lori Miller of London.
The living room had a pretty pink and
white wedding bell with streamers at the
place arranged for the bride and her
attendant, Karen Labarge. Arrangements
of summer flower bouquets with a
"Congratulations Lori" on the door made a
pretty, setting.
The hostess welcomed everyone and a
short program was enjoyed. Readings were
given by Doris Eadie, Donna McBride and
Lois Hackett. A travelling parcel game was
conducted by May Boyle with the bride
receiving the parcel, which contained a
Sweetheart pin, and all joined in singing
"For she's a jolly good fellow",

bride.' Lori received many'lovely and useful
gifts brought to her by Lynda Stanley .and

Britain, Australia, Alberta, Indiana and
Russia. No, these places are not the latest
' specials at your local travel agency, but
they are some of the travel opportunities
available to the Ontario Junior Farmers.
'The travelling exchange programmes
provide unlimited opportunities for Junior
Farmers to travel to other provinces and
countries, as well as to host over thirty
delegates who visit the province annually.
Every year, members are invited to
apply and be interviewed for the exchang-
es. Our travelling ambassadores are
selected based on their participation in the
community, Junior Farmers, 441 and
personal skills.
The winners are announced at the •
provincial Annual Banquet held each
March.
In 1985, two new trips to Holland and
West Germany were introduced. The
length of an exchange may last from two
weeks for an interprovincial trip, to eight
months for the Australia/New Zealand ex-
