Variety planned for fair
if variety is really the spice of life, the
Dungannon Fair must be the hottest event
in our area this summer.
The fair starts on Friday evening,
August 15, with all kinds of things to see
and do. Arnong the things tr d4 is a whole
range of competitions. '
At 7 p.m, the children have a chance to
show off their favourite pet, The animal
doesn't need a pedigree to enter this
contest because the judges are looking for
things such as the best dressed animal, the
pet with the longest whiskers, the biggest
feet, etc. There is a prize for 10 •different
classes but the best part is that every child,
who shows a pet, receives a gift.
During the judging of the 1986 Fair
Queen Contestants inside the hall, those
with energy to spare will have the
opportunity to use some of it in chainsaw-
ing, log sawing, balethrowing and arm -
wrestling. Approximately MO will be
distributed to winners in . these four
contests. The good part is that competitors
can register right on the Dungannon
Agricultural grounds on the evening of
August 1.5.
On Saturday, August 16, the competi-
tions continue with the heavy horses and

Backyard ramp jumping and cat walking
make an exciting pastime for a kid with a
bike. However, Scott Coolman from Ilder-
ton and his cousin, Eric Coolman, from
Exeter, have graduated into much more
sophisticated bike riding.
The two 15 -year-old boys have become
the 2 -Cool Trick Team, fusing their BMX
bikes in a 20 -minute stunt show that will
thrill the viewers.
A 6 foot and a 31/2 foot ramp are used in
the demonstration, which is correlated to
music during the entire performance.
The team is also assisted by an announ-
cer who explains the fiazards and the
necessary precautions that must be taken
by young would-be trick ' riders andwho
comments on the stunts being performed.
It is with great delight that the Dungan- •
non Agricultural Society presents the

is for you, For 25 cents, you receive a piece

Everybody loves a parade.
A parade entry is a great way to,
advertise a business or a coming event or
to encourage thought on a particular issue.
It pan be used to show that your group is
actively involved in your community or to
say ° thanks for any number of reasons. A
family can proclaim its heritage. A partial -
laxly prized possession can be displayed. A
special talent can be used for entertain-
ment. •
These are all excellent reasons to
participate in a parade but the best reason
of all is to enter for the fun of it.
At 12 noon on Saturday, August 16, you
can take part in the parade at the
Dungannon Fair, whatever your reason!.
