Reader thanks host for delicious meal
To the Editor: -
lint sure there will be many letters from
guests wishing to extend their thanks to
host Elmer` Umbach and his Mennonite
friends for the delicious dinner served to
(he members of the Lucknow Horticulture
Society.
The decorations and menu would had to
have been enjoyed to be appreciated. It
was prepared, cooked and served by
members of Eltner's church.
Much of the food and tea was 'home
grown and served by happy, stifling
people, who, after all their work in avery
warm kitchen, entertained us with their
lovely voices. Their minister spoke with
simple words on Growing Things, and our
relationship with God.
What a lovely evening spent with
friends..
Thank you Elmer,.
Edith Webster.
