It was a "Haying Fire" and it was at one of the Allan Farrell farms, the one oh the north side of the road across from his home farm. On the nice afternoon they were baling hay there when the baler caught fire, Besides the damage to the machine, the fire burned at least one large bale, so they said. Recent visitors in Ripley Recent visitors with the Irwin families were Brent and Pat Dane,- Catherine and Lillian from Beaver Lodge in Northern Alberta. Brent's mother was Kathleen Irwin of Hurontownship. Happy Hearts enjoyed picnic' The Ripley Happy Hearts Club enjoyed a picnic on July 11 at the Pollock picnic grounds at Bruce Beaeh. They were welcomed by Margaret and Norval Pollock.
