teams come froin Ottawa, Newfoundland,
Philadelphia, Montreal, Kingston, Hull,
Washington, Colorado Springs, Rochester
and Boston.
Since joining the Selects, the Lucknow
area youths have been involved in tourna-
ment action. At the Ontario Cup Tourna-
ment held in Woodville near Lindsay on
May 24 and 25, the Atom Selects, with a
record of two wins and one lossplaying
games against York-Simcoe and two
Ottawa Valley teams. They advanced to the
championship finals against Woodville
which they lost 5 - 2. They cane home with
a finalists hat and a bronze medallion.
In another tournament in Wasaga Beach
on June 6 to 8, the, Atoms, after losing to
York Simcoe 9-7 in the first game, bounc-
ed back to tie the second game with
Woodville 2 - 2. They again advanced to
the championship finals, but this time they
beat York-Simcoe 10 - 1 to take home
individual trophies.
The Pee Wee team got off to a slow start
at the Woodville Tournament and ended up
with one win, one tie, and one loss record.
At the Wasaga Beach tourney, they lost a
close game to a super Ottawa team.
Justin Murray, 12, has been playing
hockey for eight years. He is a left winger
and played for the Lucknow Atoms last
winter ' and will play for the Lucknow
PeeWees next year. Justin is enjoying
playing for the Georgian Bay Selects as he
says the competition is much betterand he
likes the physical aspects of the body
contact. Justin - is sponsored by the
Lucknow Legion and Forster Septic Tanks..
Eleven -year-old Chris Stevenson plays
centre torr the Selects. Chris has had to cut
back on playing baseball this summer in
order to play hockey but feels ut has been
well worthwhile Chris hopes to someday
play in the N. , .1L. Sponsoring Chris is
Montgomunery Motors.
Guarding the net for the Atom team is 11
year-old Adam. Skillen, He has been
playing hockey for five years and although
he has played out on occasion he says he
prefers being a goaltetnder. Mr. Dickers
says Adam was one of 15 goaltenders who
tried out for the team, and only one of two
who made it. Adam is sponsored by Hamil-
ton's Fuels and Lucknow Farm Supply.
Fourteen -year-old Brad Murray has
beenon skates since the age of three, He
,usually played centre or sometimes
defence for the Lucknow Pee Wees last
year and will be playing Bantam next year.
He has been playing left wing this summer
on this AAA Georgian Bay Select team.
Brad says . he 'enjoys this ' high level of
competition and the opportunity of meeting
' teams from such a vast area, Brad's
sponsors are G.T, Montgomery Charter
and School Buses and the Lucknow Legion.
Art Galloway, 14, plays for the Ripley
Pee Wees and will move into Bantams next
season. Art says his skating has improved
because of the high level of competition
with the Selects, but he admits that there is
more playing time with the Ripley team.
He is sponsored by Heinisch Service
Centre,Ripleyand 1 G ..MacDonald Fuels
in Ripley.
This program involves a large commit-
ment by the parents but the opportunity
afforded the boys 'and the sharing of
° drivingby the familiesinvolved has made
this a worthwhile and enjoyable learning
_experience.

Mr, Rau said the Huronview committee
will meet with the ministry first before
deciding what steps to take with the money
already raised.

Exeter Reeve Bill Mickle' said he was
"very disappointed" to see Dr. "Cieslar
leave his position. as MOH. He expressed
hope that the county will move towards
clearing upthese conflicts in the system so
it doesn't hamper the operation of the
health unit.
"1 for one feel very upset by, this sort of
confrontation happening within the syst-
em. We can't play games," said Reeve.
